Assignments
Due 03-12-10
Bring in 5 items that you have saved from the landfill. They can be 5 of the same item or a variety of items. They should be things we can cut up such as soda cans, plastic bottles, candy wrappers or small decorative things such as bottlecaps. You don't need to rifle through the trash, just rinse out and save things you and your family and friends use/consume every day.
Due 02-16-10
Brainstorm a list of 5-7 people who have had a direct and positive impact on your life.
Select one person from your list and answer these questions:
- Who is this person? How do you know them?
- In what ways have they had a positive impact on you?
- Describe their physical appearance
- Describe this personŐs character. What type of personality do they have?
- Recall 1 or 2 experiences you shared with this person. Explain where you were, what you did, and why you think it was important to you.
Due 01-11/10 through 01/13/10
Bring a digital camera next week if you have one. Also bring the cord to download your pics if you have that as well. If you are taking your 3 photos outside of school, here are the instructions:
One low angle shot
One close up to abstraction
One environmental or wide shot
Take several of each shot so you can have a variety to choose from.

Equality of participation during the building process: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5
Equality of participation during the writing process: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5
5=equal participation and took initiative when necessary, 4=participated most of the time and took initiative at least once, 3=participated some of the time, but did not take initiative, 2=occasionally participated, but was maybe more distracting than participatory, 1=barely participated and perhaps even hindered progress
Evaluate each person separately.
